Kitchen Remodeling – Day 7 of 17 – More Drywall, Kitchen Cabinet Installation

Kitchen Remodeling – Day 7 of 17 – More Drywall, Kitchen Cabinet Installation
The first priority of day seven is to finish up some more drywall sanding and mudding. The next plan is to start installing kitchen cabinets. We chose the IKEA Sektion cabinet line. First I get started with installing metal rail brackets to the wall, then we bring in and install the oven cabinet, a pantry cabinet, and a refrigerator bridge cabinet. We do some custom framing work to get the spacing exact. We go through the process of installing the IKEA cabinets, and assembly of our first Sektion sliding drawer. Once we have one wall of cabinets installed, we begin doing some customization on some other cabinets for an upper bridge section of horizontal cabinets over the kitchen sink area.
